Spend the New Year's Eve in one of the most beautiful regions in Romania. Rasinari is one of the best known shepherd villages, where the Romanian customs and traditions are very well preserved. The village is only 9 km away from Sibiu, a large city with180.000 inhabitants. The Badiu family is a very friendly and hospitable family and always awaits guests with local specialties. The large hall of the pension allows you to really celebrate the New Year's arrival.

Program:
Day 1. (Monday, 28th of December 2009): ArrivalArrival in Sibiu (Romania).The English speaking guide will meet you at the airport or train station. Transfer to the shepherd village Rasinari. Accommodation for 5 -7 nights and welcome dinner. Day 2. (Tuesday, 29th of December.2009): Sibiu - European Cultural Capital 2007After breakfast you will meet with the English speaking guide at the pension. Together you will travel to Sibiu. You will take a city tour and visit the main touristic features of the European Cultural Capital. Free afternoon in Sibiu. Transfer back to Rasinari Day 3. (Wednesday, 30th of December 2009): Trip in TransylvaniaAfter breakfast we will meet with the guide at the pension. Today we will visit the most important fortified churches in Transylvania. First we will visit the castle in Medias. The world famous rocket builder Herman Oberth was also born in Medias. Next we will travel to Biertan where we will visit the Bishop's residence (UNESCO-World Cultural Heritage). Lunch in Biertan. In the afternnon we will drive to Sighisoara. The UNESCO-city is one of the most beautiful "Seven Citadels" in Transylvania. Here we will visit the house where Vlad the Impaler was born. Later in the afternoon we will drive back to Rasinari. Dinner at the Pension. Day 4. (Thursday, 31th of December 2009): RasinariToday you will get ready for the New Year's arrival celebration. The day is free, you choose what to do. You can take a taxi to Sibiu or take the line bus to Paltinis (ski resort). At 19:00 will start the dinner party for the New Year's Eve and this means you will have a wonderful time. Day 5. (Friday,. 1st of January 2010): A New YearAfter a long sleep you can help your host, Mr.Badiu start a fire in snow for a delicious barbeque. The day is free; again you get to choose what to do. Day 6. (Saturday, 2nd of January 2010): Sibiu - DepartureBreakfast. Transfer to Sibiu, where you can either buy the last souvenirs or make some shopping.
