Itinerary:

Day 1 (Thursday): Flight to Sibiu

Meeting with the guide in Sibiu and transfer to the hotel in the city center.

Time for your own in the afternoon.

Day 2 (Friday): Sibiu - The European Cultural Capital 2007 – Sighisoara - Sibiu

You will meet the guide at the hotel in Sibiu at 10:00 o’clock. On a 2 hours walking tour you will visit the medieval city of Sibiu – the European Capital of Culture 2007 with the Evangelic Church, the Liars Bridge and many others cultural objectives. In the afternoon we drive to Biertan (which is also part of the UNESCO - world cultural heritage) where we will visit the fortified church with its famous conjugal prison. In the late afternoon we arrive in Sighisoara (which is also part of the UNESCO - world cultural heritage). In a city tour of the so called Transylvanian „Rotenburg ob der Taube" we will visit the clock tower, the hill church and many other touristic features. Dinner at Dracula House. In this house Dracula (Vlad Tepes) was born in 15th century. Then we travel back to Sibiu.

Day 3 (Saturday): Brasov and Bran with the Dracula Castle

Along the Carpathian Mountains we drive to Carta where we will visit the Cistercian Abbey, built in 1202 in early Gothic architectural style and was the easternmost Abbey of the Cistercian Order. Passing through thick forests we arrive to Bran where we will visit the famous Dracula Castle. Lunch in Brasov. After this we take a city tour we will discover the main cultural objectives of this beautiful city, like the Black Church, Town Hall Square etc. Free time in Brasov. Late in the afternoon we drive back to Sibiu.

Day 4 (Sunday): Sibiu Surroundings and flying home

Today we invite you to explore the villages surrounding Sibiu, located at the bottom of the Cindrel Mountains. First, we will visit Cisnadie, where we will see one of the most beautiful fortified churches in Transylvania. Next, we will head towards Cisnadioara where we will visit the Evangelic Church and the medieval fortress. Our next stop will be in Sibiel, a typical Romanian village where we will visit the glass painted icons museum.
